MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram successfully organized a three day Annual Techno Cultural fest, MESTECH’18 from 16th to 18th March 2018 at MES College of Engineering. Prof. Kadavanad Mohammed, Sr. Joint Secretary of MESCE has inaugurated the program on 16th March 2018, the Principal of MESCE, Dr. A.S Varadarajan presided over the function; the Joint Secretary of MESCE, Dr. C.P Muhammad, the Director of MESCE, Dr. K P Mohammed, retired DYSP, Mr. Abdul Rasheed, Palakkad district Secretary of MESCE, Mr. Abdul latheef and Vice Principal of MESCE, Dr. Muhammed Bdeeusaman are felicitated over the function; Student Coordinator, Mr. Mohammed Sabith P welcomed the gathering and Mr. Ijas Ahammed , Chairman, proposed the vote of thanks. Joint Secretary honored the team members of Gen Robotics, Mr. Nikhil and Mr. Sreejith Babu, team Gen Robotics invented the Bandicoot, the manhole cleaning Robot on recently for Kerala Government and then the principal distributed the prizes for the winners of several competitions conducted as part of Pre-MESTECH on this occasion. Technical paper presentation on electronics and communication engineering for PG & UG students were conducted on first day in which participants from various engineering colleges presented their research works. Apart from this MJ5 dance footsteps were one among the major attraction of the day followed by the college band. The cultural events was the other highlight that provide a good platform for the students to showcase their cultural skills with that the day one program came to an end. On the second day Kalakshetra, Graffiti, Cycle stunt were the programs of applied electronics and instrumentation department. The Tree house expo, Dome structure display, Vertical garden, Eco friendly air cooler, Previous concrete, Newspaper tower, Collecting junk materials and making products, sky cycling along with competitions like Twister games, Treasure hunt, Photography competition, spot dubbing, TISKA band competition, arc making competition were the highlights of civil department. Electrical & Electronics department put forward The Twister games, God of thunder, Illusion house, VR chair, Dream land, Ham expo, FIFA18.The Bunker games, Animex, Vertex, Hollow gram show, coding, Paper & Project presentation were the main events of Information Technology department. With several expos of KSRTC, AGRO Industries, Railway, Aeronautical, new generation vehicles were conducted by Mechanical Engineering Department. A Project display competition on the theme of Sustainable Development in association with Mathrubhumi for engineering students also conducted as part of the MESTECH18 by Mechanical Engineering Department on second day. Along with this water football, criminal mind, Gaming, laser maze, Battle ship, photo boot, Entrepreneur counter were the major attractions of Computer science department. The Electronics and communication department came with Planetarium, Hollow graphic avatar, Dark room, Fog screen, LED shadow wall, Propeller clock, Vandegraph, FM radio, ABCD 2k18 etc. Around 15000 viewers from various streams of society were visited the expos and strongly participated on different competitions and games like robo war, spot photography, art gallery, slip football etc. On second day of the MESTECH Music hungama was organized and on which a Bollywood band group, LAGORI excited the audience through their musical performance, Italian DJ Girl Olly Essay lead other DJ Performance at night of second day and Ghost Riders presented a Bike stunt performance in association with ME Department on second day and which was a highly remarkable event through the heavy participation from public. The AUTO expo of ME department were the major attraction for the final day ,various games and activities, live entertainment, spot choreography , DJ war, Go carting, Foam party mud race, ANN were attracted by the crowd. The performance by MASALA COFFEE band gives a perfect ending to the three day event. The fest executed with a total of about 200 events planned and organized at its best quality keeping the need and interest of the engineering students taken into consideration.
