Dr. MOHAMED BEDEEUZZAMAN did his B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Government Engineering College, Thrissur and M. Tech in Electronic Design and Technology from National Institute of Technology, Calicut. He took Ph. D in Biomedical Signal Processing from Aligarh Muslim University.

Dr. Zaman joined MESCE in August 1998 as a lecturer in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering Department and became Assistant Professor in January 2005. He took the charge of HOD in May 2007. Since June 2013, he is the Professor and Head of the department. Since 1st October 2013, he is the Vice Principal of the college. During his association with the college in the past years he held many posts including NSS Programme officer (2000-2002), Staff Editor of college magazine (2002 and 2006), resident warden (1999- 2002), Staff advisor for many batches, coordinator of national level technical symposiums (2005 and 2006), Coordinator of teacher training programmes (2007 and 2014), coordinator of SPINCOM 2013 and training programmes on VHDL (2007) and PLC (2005). He had attended many training programmes in India and abroad.

Dr. Zaman is a member of Board of studies (Engineering PG studies) and coordinator of syllabus revision committee, AEI, of Calicut University. He is a member of IEEE with membership in Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS). He is the Execom member of Malabar Subsection of IEEE. He is also the Life member of ISTE and Energy Conservation Society (ECS).

He had handled courses on signals and systems, control systems, digital electronics and digital signal processing. He has more than 10 international papers to his credit and attended conferences and workshops at Loughborough (UK) and Prague (Czech Republic). His major research area is digital signal processing with special focus on biomedical signals.

Besides academic pursuits, Dr. Zaman is a good orator and a prolific writer. He has won several prizes for elocution and writing competitions at state and university levels. Dr. Zaman is a contributor to newspapers and magazines on diverse issues and a regular presence in discussions pertaining to education and training. He had anchored “Kerala Summit”, a TV show focusing on developmental aspects of the region, in Media One TV.
